I. Weather. The map uses a has 3 weather zones. The severe, winter and temperate weather zones. There is a 50% chance winter is early. If early, it impacts the winter zone from November through February. If on time, it lasts from December through March. Note that winter starts a month early in the severe zone and ends a month later. Units not in urban or fortification hexes receive a 35% readiness penalty during winter. Note that units can winter in urban and fortification hexes to maintain readiness. Just be careful when setting up close to a mobile enemy. As a playing tip, keep you eye to the deep winter zone. When it turns, you have 1 turn to prep troops in the winter zone.
